AFC U-17 Asian Cup: Myanmar beat Oman 2-0 in Group G Match

Myanmar’s U-17 Men team defeated Oman 2–0 in their 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifying match at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon on Friday evening. The winning goals for Myanmar were scored by Aung Thiha at 63' and Nyi Nyi Thant at 66' respectively. Myanmar is competing in Group G alongside Afghanistan, Nepal, Oman and Syria.

After three matches, the team has collected nine points and will face Syria in their final group match on 30 November. Only the 7 group winners from qualifying will advance to the final tournament of the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup. These 7 qualifiers will join 9 already-qualified AFC sides, who secured spots through the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Japan, Korea Republic, DPR Korea, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Uzbekistan. The 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup finals are scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia from 7 to 24 May 2026.
