The list of 56 township constituencies where elections cannot be held was also announced through Announcement No. 103/2025 dated on 14th September 2025.

In addition, the campaign period of 60 days from 28th October at 06:00 AM to 26th December 2025 at 12:00 midnight for political parties and candidates contesting in the election was announced through Announcement No. 134/2025 dated 15th October 2025.

In order to ensure that the election is held peacefully and successfully, and to enable voters to freely cast their ballots for the political party candidate or independent candidate of their choice, all townships where elections will be held, except for the 56 townships where elections cannot be held, must cease all election-related public assemblies and campaigning from 12:00 midnight on 26th December 2025 until the completion of the election on 28th December 2025.

For the townships included in Election Phase-1, all campaign advertisements and posters must be removed not later than 12:00 midnight on 26th December 2025. For the townships included in Election Phase-2, public assemblies and election campaigning may resume starting from 29th December 2025.

However, these activities must stop again from 12:00 midnight on 9th January 2026 until the completion of the election on 11th January 2026. Campaign advertisements and posters for Phase-2 townships must be removed no later than 12:00 midnight on 9th January 2026. The designated dates for Election Phase-3 will be announced subsequently.

During the designated campaign period, the writing, printing, distribution of pamphlets, installation of billboards and vinyl posters, public assemblies and speeches, and media-based campaigning must all be conducted in accordance with Section 30(a) of the respective Hluttaw Election Laws and Chapter -10 of the by-laws.  Campaign advertisements and posters for Phase-1 and Phase-2 must be removed according to the final dates specified for each respective part.

If campaign advertisements and posters are not removed by the designated deadlines, the respective Township Sub-commissions will coordinate with the relevant City Development Committee or Township Development Committee to remove them. Any costs incurred for the removal process will be charged to the respective political party or candidate responsible. The announcement was signed by U Than Soe, Chairman of the Union Election Commission.
