At least 44 people are dead, hundreds more are missing, and dozens are injured after Hong Kong’s biggest fire in nearly two decades, engulfed seven apartment buildings. The 31-storey buildings in the city’s northern ‘Tai Paw’ district contained about 2-thousand residential units.

Australia Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has offered his support to Hong Kong following the fire. The Prime Minister expressed that “His heart goes out to the people who have lost their lives and the people who are searching and concerned about loved ones. This has been a human tragedy and the hearts of all Australians will be thinking of the people of Hong Kong who are going through a very tough day.”
