26th ACAMM Meeting: Myanmar delegation attends the meeting in Singapore

A Myanmar delegation led by General Kyaw Swar Lin, Chief of Staff (Army, Navy, Air), attended the 26th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting (26th ACAMM) held on Wednesday in Singapore, on behalf of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win.

The joint opening ceremony of the 26th ACAMM and the 13th ASEAN Senior Military Officers Meeting (13th ASMAM) was officiated by Singapore’s Defence Minister Chan Chun Sing. ASEAN army chiefs and delegation heads discussed this year’s theme “Climate Adaptation in HADR Operations.”

The meeting concluded in the afternoon, followed by the signing of the joint declaration. During the visit, General Kyaw Swar Lin met separately with senior army leaders from Brunei, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Laos to discuss strengthening bilateral military cooperation and friendship.

He also attended a dinner reception, hosted by Singapore’s Chief of Army, General Cai Dexian. He also visited the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore, meeting with embassy staff, military attaché personnel, and their families.
