







The ceremony commemorating the “16 Days of Activism to Eliminate Digital Violence Against Women” was held at the state hall in Loikaw city of Kayah State on November 26. The Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, members of the state government, departmental officials, members of the state maternal and child welfare supervisory committee, members of the state women's affairs committee, students, and invited guests attended the event.
First, students from Basic Education High School No. 1 performed the opening entertainment with the song "Invitation from Kayan Land."
Then, the Chief Minister delivered the opening speech, stating that the event was organized with the aim of raising greater awareness of women's rights and capabilities and enhancing efforts to eliminate various forms of violence against women etc.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister presented honorary awards and cash prizes to representatives of dance groups who performed songs and dances.
Following that, the Chief Minister and officials watched a video clip commemorating the “16 Days of Activism to Eliminate Digital Violence Against Women”, enjoyed performances by nursing and midwifery students and students from Basic Education High School No. 5, and exchanged warm greetings with the attendees, it’s reported.
