Caritas unveiled the popemobile used by Pope Francis during his 2014 visit to Bethlehem, now converted into a mobile pediatric clinic for children in Gaza. The “Vehicle of Hope” will provide direct medical care once access to the territory is approved.

Alistair Dutton, Secretary General, Caritas Internationalis said We also know that this gesture by Pope Francis and the presence of a paediatric clinic like this is more than just an offer of health care. It is a symbol of hope, a hope for the future, a hope for reconciliation and a hope for the health of children of Gaza."

Caritas highlighted that the clinic functions as a serious humanitarian tool, not a general aid convoy, and symbolizes both practical support and a commitment to the rights and well-being of Gaza’s children. Officials are coordinating with authorities to ensure timely entry into the region.
