More work to be done, says Rubio after end of Ukraine talks in Geneva

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Sunday that talks with the Ukrainian delegation in Geneva on the US-proposed peace plan were “probably the most productive and meaningful meeting” since the process began, yet he cautioned that significant work remains to finalize an agreement.

Rubio, who led the American delegation, noted that the discussions focused on narrowing open items within a foundational document containing around 26 to 28 points, an objective he said was achieved “in a very substantial way.”
