Meeting in Maubin: SSPC Chairman meets with locals in Maubin

Acting President and Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the departmental personnel and townselders in MaUbin of Ayeyawady Region on Sunday.

The MaUbin District Administrator reported on the preparation for the election, production works, crop yield, storage of reserved rice, cultivation of oil crops, fish breeding works, loan disbursement from the State Economic Promotion Fund, sufficient supply of electricity, education promotion efforts, MSME development and sports sector.

Attendees also reported on the needs for work implementation, at which the Union Minister and the Chief Minister explained the work undertakings for agriculture and livestock sector. In his speech, the Acting President highlighted the crucial role of MaUbin, and the agriculture and livestock sector.

He outlines for extended establishment of the Agriculture and Livestock Universities so as to turn out qualified human resources needed for the sector. He also discussed the need to strive for systematic cultivation of Pawsan rice, and other major crops, while providing agricultural knowledge to the farmers.

Emphasizing the successful fisher industry in the region, the Acting President stressed on extended implementation of poultry and livestock breeding works. He also called for cooperation of local populace in implementing the development works in the town, ensuring better drainage system, upgraded sports facilities and academic institutions.

He also explained the preparation process for the upcoming December election, and urged all to cast their votes for those who can be relied for development of the region and state, with correct outlook on politics, economics and defense matter. After the meeting, the Acting President viewed the display of MSME products, farm implement, livestock products and foodstuff, produced from the Ayeyawady Region.
