











Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win, accompanied by officials, visited a school for deaf children in Tamwe Township, Yangon on Saturday.
The school provides education in sign language along with vocational and life skills, including computer skills, arts and crafts, sewing, cooking, and flower arranging. The Union Minister encouraged teachers and staff to continue teaching and training students to become confident, capable, and valuable members of their families and society.
Currently, the school has 68 primary students and 6 secondary students, totaling 74 students. Later, the Union Minister and party visited the Central Warehouse of Disaster Management, to inspect rescue and disaster response equipment, donated by China.
The Union Minister reviewed storage, organization, and plans for distribution, and coordinated with staff to ensure proper management. He also met with staff from three departments under the Ministry in Yangon, discussing responsibilities, departmental objectives, and efficient task implementation.
