









The Ministry of Legal Affairs launched a capacity-building seminar on prosecution and case management skills on Friday. Union Minister and Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo attended the event and made a speech.
The Union Minister underscored its aim to strengthen litigation and prosecution performance while expanding legal knowledge nationwide. She stressed the need for law officers to improve core duties such as providing legal advice, preparing and reviewing cases, handling appeals and coordinating prosecutions.
The Union Minister added that amendments to the Union Attorney General’s Rules should be identified during the seminar. With the election approaching, the Union Minister urged regional and district law officers to give special emphasis on their duties and responsibilities. A total of 40 legal officers attended the seminar, which will run from November 21 to 22.
