





For successful participation of Myanmar Sports Contingent in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture distributed 10 million kyats to the athletes.
The donation ceremony took place at the multi-purpose hall of Gold Camp in Nay Pyi Taw on November 20th with the attendance of Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung, along with the Deputy Ministers and concerned officials.
First, Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung expressed words of thanks saying that the donated cash will be used systematically for the victory in coming SEA Games. The Union Minister added selected athletes are ready to compete in 38 sport events and will try their best during the competitions to uplift the country’s prestige on the international stage.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin said that the donation is made to uplift the sportmanship spirit of the athletes for the development of country’s sport sector and he urged all the selected athletes to try their best during the 33rd SEA Games.
Subsequently, Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin donated 10 million kyats for Myanmar Sports Contingent, and Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung accepted and presented certificate of honour in return. The 33rd SEA Games is scheduled to take place from 9th to 20th December 2025, with Bangkok and its metropolitan area, Chonburi Province, and Songkhla Province serving as the main host cities.
