





The Bago Region Ground Census Enumeration Supervision Committee held a work coordination meeting at the Tawwin Hantha Meeting Hall of the Bago Region Government Office on November 19.
First, Chairman of Bago Region Ground Census Enumeration Supervision Committee and Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, addressed the meeting. He stated that based on a review of the first voter list release, verification processes are being carried out in real-time to ensure there are no weaknesses in the second voter list release.
He emphasized that the multi-party democracy general election is extremely important for the country and must be successfully conducted without fail. He added that comprehensive arrangements must be made from all sides to enable people to vote freely, fairly, peacefully, and securely. He urged everyone to strive diligently for the successful completion of not only the townships where Part (1) of the 2025 multi-party democracy election will be held but also all subsequent parts.
Subsequently, the Region Election Officer explained matters related to voter list accuracy using a PowerPoint presentation.
Following that, the Region Director of the Ministry of Immigration and Population explained the status of the ground data collection efforts.
Afterwards, the District/Township Administrators provided detailed explanations on a township-by-township basis regarding the eligible voting population, polling station arrangements, and the status of demonstrations for using the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM).
Subsequently, Bago Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs, Colonel Nyi Lan Cho, explained security-related matters for each polling station. The Region Chief Minister provided detailed guidance township by township on the necessary requirements for the successful completion of the 2025 multi-party democracy general election, it’s reported.
