Rice Milling Technology Training: YGN Region CM delivered the opening speech

The opening ceremony for the Rice Milling Technology Training Course, jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF), was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the State Institute of Technical Education (SITE) in Bahan Township, Yangon Region, on November 18. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein attended and delivered the opening address.

First, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein delivered the opening address. He stated that the training courses will teach new technologies, quality control systems, digital and artificial intelligence (AI) disciplines, as well as electrical and mechanical engineering, and that there are many future opportunities. He also advised valuing the opportunity, striving to learn diligently, and engaging actively in study and practice.

Following this, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Sai Kyaw Naing Oo, delivered remarks. Chairman of the Myanmar Rice Federation, U Ye Min Aung explained the purpose of opening the training course and the future work processes.

Subsequently, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials toured and viewed the displayed curriculum textbooks, the ongoing Level 1 and Level 2 Rice Milling Technology Training Course instruction, the practical training room, and the technical teaching aids. They also warmly greeted the trainees.

It is learned that responsible personnel will conduct theoretical and practical instruction for this Rice Milling Technology Training Course. Level 1 has a duration of 3 months and Level 2 has a duration of 4 months, with a total of 63 trainees.
