Health Sector: Health check-up and inspection tour

Union Minister for Health Prof. Dr. Thet Khaing Win visited Yangon General Hospital on Sunday to observe the annual health check-up program for senior specialist doctors.

The Union Minister met the senior doctors, provided medicines, and observed blood tests, ECG checks, X-ray and ultrasound services, bone densitometry, and specialist medical examinations. This program was jointly organized by Yangon General Hospital, the National Health Laboratory, Myanmar Medical Council, Myanmar Medical Association, and the Senior Doctors’ Support Group. A total of 268 senior doctors received health care services.

Later, the Union Minister visited the student dormitories of the University of Medicine (2), Yangon. He also inspected the construction of a new six-storey dormitory and dining hall funded in the 2025–2026 budget. He instructed to ensure good living conditions, safety, quality construction, and timely completion for incoming students.
