Coordination Meeting: Discussion on electricity distribution in Kachin State

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun and offifcials held a coordination meeting regarding the electricity distribution in Kachin State on 15th November.

At the meeting, Union Minister said emphasis is needed to distribute electricity fully and to take action on the illegal used of electricity.  He added that all staff need to fulfill their assigned duties and provide good services to the people as a public service department.

He also highlighted the beautifying of the staff housing and offices, monthly meetings for the staff and implementation of the projects in 2025-2026 fiscal year. Then, a State Electrical Engineer reported the status of electricity distribution, implementation of power lines and sub-stations, electric bill, and rehabilitation of displaced staff. Upon reports, the Union Minister instructed the needs and provided foodstuff and cash assistance to the staff.
