Labour Affairs: MOL Union Minister visits factories in Hlaingthaya

Union Minister for Labour U Aung Kyaw Hoe visited the garment factories in Hlaingthaya (West) Township on Saturday.

They visited U Better (Myanmar) Fashion Co., Ltd, Myanmar Huasheng Golden Fashion Co., Ltd, and Myanmar Guotai Huasheng Fashion Co., Ltd. He met with factory owners and workers to discuss workplace safety, labor rights, health, social security benefits, and productivity improvement.

The Union Minister emphasized compliance with labor laws, and encouraged workers’ unions to be freely and fairly organized with protection of workers’ rights. He also visited the Mobile Medical Unit set up in factories, which provides medical check-ups, treatment, and ECG services for insured workers.
