Korea–ASEAN Policy Exchange Network: International Government Policy Dialogue

Union Minister at the President's Office (2) U Ko Ko Hlaing attended the 2025 Korea–ASEAN Policy Exchange Network and International Government Policy Dialogue held in Phnom Penh of Cambodia from 12 to 13 November. He delivered a remark at the opening ceremony as the special guest of honor.

On 13 November, the Union Minister took part in the discussion, titled “Korea–ASEAN Strategic Alliance Toward ASEAN Vision 2025.” He highlighted the long-standing, friendly partnership between Korea and ASEAN, stressing the need to strengthen cooperation into a long-term strategic alliance.

He noted four key areas for future collaboration in food security, technology and innovation, disaster management, and combating transnational crimes such as human trafficking, drug smuggling, cybercrime, and illegal trade. He also discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in economic, political, security, and cultural sectors, which play major roles in regional peace and stability. Around 150 participants joined the event. The Union Minister returned to Yangon on November 14.
