Rains are flooding the tents in Gaza

The tents housing displaced individuals across most neighborhoods and camps in the Gaza Strip were flooded after the region was struck by an atmospheric depression and heavy rainfall. This event marks the beginning of what is expected to be an arduous season for those sheltering in temporary tents.

The suffering is significantly worsened by the deteriorated state of the infrastructure and the sewage network, damaged by the war. Notably, the majority of these displaced people are facing the winter season and its severe effects in their tents for the third consecutive year. According to unofficial statistics, more than 1.3 million citizens are currently living in these tented settlements.
