Healthcare Achievement: MOH anniversary held in Nay Pyi Taw

The Ministry of Health held a reception in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday, to mark its anniversary and honor healthcare workers who actively contributed during the Mandalay earthquake.

In his opening remarks, Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win highlighted that November 14 was officially designated as the Ministry of Health’s anniversary, following the government notification in 1953. Since Myanmar’s independence in 1948, the Ministry has continuously provided public healthcare services, supporting national development and ensuring citizens’ health.

The Union Minister praised healthcare workers for their tireless efforts during emergencies, including COVID-19, severe storms, floods, epidemics, and the Mandalay earthquake, often risking their own safety to serve the public. Awards and certificates of honor were presented to outstanding staff. The event featured performances by various departments under the Ministry.
