Viet Nam-US advance reciprocal trade talks

Viet Nam and the United States have moved a step closer to finalizing a reciprocal trade agreement. On November 10th in Washington, D.C., Viet Nam’s Minister of Industry and Trade met with US Trade Representative for ministerial-level talks.

The US Trade Representative welcomed the two sides’ joint statement on a fair, balanced and mutually beneficial trade framework, calling it an important basis to accelerate the negotiation process. He also commended Viet Nam’s constructive and solutions-focused approach to US proposals.

The Vietnamese Minister reiterated Viet Nam’s commitment to a practical and flexible negotiation spirit, aiming for a balanced and sustainable economic partnership. Both sides said the session was key to resolving outstanding issues and reaching an agreement soon.
