






A 92-year-old iconic Japanese actor Nakadai Tatsuya, known for his lead role in “Kagemusha,” has died. His agency announced that Nakadai died of pneumonia at a Tokyo hospital on Saturday.
On the screen, Nakadai received global acclaim for his dual roles in “Kagemusha,” as a feudal lord and a shadow warrior. The film won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1980. He was awarded the Order of Culture in 2015 for his long years of dedication to the stage and screen.
