The Mongolian Civil Aviation Company (MIAT) has officially launched direct flights to Singapore.
The new twice-weekly service is expected to facilitate travel between the two countries while creating new passenger flows across multiple continents. As part of its 2024–2025 expansion plan, MIAT will operate new direct routes to Hanoi (Viet Nam), Shanghai, and Hohhot (China), with Singapore added to the network starting on Tuesday.
Previously, travelers to Singapore had to transit through Beijing or Hong Kong, but the new direct flight lasting just over six hours, eliminates the need for layovers and significantly saves time. MIAT’s growing network of direct routes has enhanced Mongolia’s global connectivity, increased passenger traffic, and contributed to lower airfares.
MITV is a broadcast TV brand intended for international and local English speaking consumers, launched on 31st March 2010 based in Yangon.
