






The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Sunday successfully launched its heaviest satellite, CMS-03, on board the Launch Vehicle Mark-3 (LVM3-M5), officials said.
The launch took place from the second launch pad of Sriharikota, off the Bay of Bengal coast, located in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. According to ISRO, the CMS-03, weighing about 4,400 kg, will be the heaviest communication satellite launched to Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit from Indian soil.
