Los Angeles Dodgers win World Series for second straight year

In Major League Baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7 of the World Series to win the championship. The Dodgers won four games of the best-of-seven series. It is the first time in the team's history to win the World Series two years in a row. The Japanese player, Yamamoto Yoshinobu, pitcher from Los Angeles Dodgers, was named the Most Valuable Player of the World Series.
