Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth arrives in Kuala Lumpur for ASEAN defence talks

United States Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, ahead of the ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting Plus (ADMM-Plus) set for Nov 1. The Defense Ministry in a statement said Hegseth's aircraft landed at Subang Air Base at 9pm local time, where he was received by senior officials from the Defense Ministry and the armed forces.

His visit is held in conjunction with the regional defense summit, which will gather ASEAN ministers and dialogue partners to discuss strategic and security issues of common concern. Hegseth is also scheduled to meet Malaysia Defense Minister on the sidelines of the ADMM-Plus.
