India supports IAEA’s pivotal role at UNGA plenary session

A multi-party Indian Parliamentary delegation is currently in New York representing the country’s stance at the United Nations General Assembly on various issues. Parliamentarian Daggubati Purandeswari addressed the UNGA plenary on the ‘Report of the International Atomic Energy Agency’ on Wednesday.

She emphasized India’s unwavering support for the Agency’s crucial role in promoting the peaceful and secure use of nuclear science and technology. She also highlighted India’s progress in nuclear power and research, including indigenous CAR-T cell therapy, is improving access to affordable cancer treatment.
