Viet Nam, Finland upgrade bilateral ties to strategic partnership

On Tuesday morning in Helsinki, a formal welcome ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace for Party General Secretary Tô Lâm, his spouse Ngô Phương Ly, and the Vietnamese high-level delegation on their official visit to Finland.

The ceremony was presided over by Finland’s President, Alexander Stubb. During the talks, Party General Secretary Tô Lâm and Finland’s President Alexander Stubb discussed major strategic directions. Both sides agreed to leverage the Viet Nam-EU Free Trade Agreement and the EU-Viet Nam Investment Protection Agreement to promote trade and investment opportunities, especially in agricultural products and consumer goods.
