The sacred relics of Lord Buddha returned on Sunday from Russia’s Kalmykia to New Delhi, serving as a spiritual bridge that strengthened ties between the two nations and revived historical Buddhist connections.

The relics were brought back to India by the Lieutenant Governors. The exposition of the sacred relics of Lord Buddha drew an unprecedented response, with nearly 100,000 devotees paying their reverent homage at the iconic Monastery, popularly known as the ‘Golden Abode of Shakyamuni Buddha.’ An emotional farewell ceremony for the Buddha’s sacred relics was held in Elista, marking the beginning of their journey home.
