






The Louvre Museum in Paris was closed on Sunday after thieves reportedly stole jewelry related to French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. France's Culture Minister Rachida Dati wrote on social media that the robbery happened on Sunday morning shortly after the museum opened. She said no injuries have been reported.
Interior Minister Laurent Nunez told French media that three or four perpetrators stole precious pieces of jewelry from the Louvre and took only seven minutes to commit the crime. French media reported say nine pieces were stolen from the jewelry collection of Napoleon. The Louvre said on its website it will be closed for the rest of the day for "exceptional reasons."
