Agriculture & Livestock Sector: Dy Minister Makes Inspections in Pathein Area

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi met with officials from the agriculture sector in Pathein of Ayeyawaddy Region on October 15.

He discussed matters related to the paddy and oilseed crop projects being implemented with the State Economic Promotion Fund, the expansion of sunflower cultivation, and the increased development of dairy cow farming through Artificial Insemination (AI) projects.

The Deputy Minister then provided supplementary discussions and instructions on the presentations made by the responsible officials. He also inspected the cold storage factory of YUZANA GROUP AYEYARWADY FISHERIES., Ltd and stressed the importance of food safety, production in line with international standards and the crucial role of skilled staff.

Also, the Deputy Minister visited the Fishing Vessel Monitoring and Control Division (Pathein); inspected the monitoring, control, and surveillance of domestic and foreign fishing and fish-carrying vessels in accordance with international regulations, and the supervision to ensure systematic fishing operations within Myanmar's maritime waters.

Subsequently, the Deputy Minister inspected the dairy production business and dairy cow farm in KyaKhatChaung Village. He held discussions and gave instructions to officials, emphasizing attention to environmental cleanliness and food safety.
