India and U.K. strengthen defense and trade ties

On Thursday, Indian  Prime Minister Narendra Modi and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer jointly addressed the India-UK CEO Forum in Mumbai. They discussed market access, bilateral trade, and economic cooperation, aiming to double trade from the current $56 billion by 2030.

Following the meeting, CEOs from both countries applauded the recently signed Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and committed to accelerating bilateral trade growth to meet this target.
