Qatar urges focus on Egypt peace plan implementation

Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesman said efforts are ongoing to advance Egypt peace talks, emphasizing that all parties support reaching a consensus. He noted that the plan’s roughly 20 points require practical interpretation on the ground and coordination with all involved parties.

The spokesman stressed that the focus is on the implementation and execution of the agreed plan rather than discussing alternatives. He highlighted that guarantees depend on having a practical, implementable plan accepted by all parties, with assurances from the United States and other stakeholders.

According to the spokesman, there are currently no obstacles to approving the plan’s points; challenges remain in carrying out its provisions. He reiterated that many details still need to be addressed to ensure the plan can be effectively applied. Qatar continues to monitor developments and facilitate communication between the parties to support the peace process.
