Heavy rains, flooding follow Typhoon Bualoi in Viet Nam

It’s not only infrastructure and homes that have been affected by the typhoon in Viet Nam. Education has also been disrupted.

In Hanoi, schools have been ordered to close, Wednesday, as heavy rains continue to cause widespread disruption. The city’s Department of Education and Training has instructed schools to shift to online classes where possible.

Authorities have also ordered schools to cease outdoor or group activities, especially in areas at risk of flooding or landslides. Schools will also maintain close communication with parents to ensure student safety. Schools are required to secure property and equipment, move books and supplies to safe locations, and prepare food and water for boarding students if needed.
