India wins third World Para Athletics title

India’s star para-javelin thrower Sumit Antil clinched gold at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, marking his third world title on Tuesday. Para-javelin thrower Sumit Antil secured the top podium finish in the Men’s F64 javelin throw with a record-breaking effort of 71.37 meters in his fifth attempt. Already the world record holder at 73.29 meters, Antil’s throw surpassed his own championship record of 70.83 metres, which he had set in Paris in 2023.
