China and Fiji have strengthened their strategic partnership

China and Fiji have strengthened their strategic partnership, built on mutual respect, win-win cooperation and justice, says Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian. A celebration took place in Suva, Fiji’s capital to mark 50 years of diplomatic ties, which China says it built on equality, non-interference, and mutual benefit.

Zhou outlined major Belt and Road projects along with agricultural initiatives boosting local communities. Looking ahead, China will increase Fijian product imports, encourage investment, support climate action, provide scholarships and medical teams, and establish direct flights to strengthen connectivity.
