Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-15s visit German air base

Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-15 fighter jets have arrived at an air base in Germany for defense exchanges. Two F-15s landed at Laage Air Base in northeastern Germany. The aircraft belong to the ASDF’s Chitose Air Base in the northern prefecture of Hokkaido. F-15 fighter jets have been dispatched to the United States, Canada, Britain and Germany from September 14 to October 1.

The mission is designed to strengthen cooperation with the countries through defense exchanges. It marks the first-ever dispatch of ASDF fighter jets to Europe and Canada.
