Paris waiters dash through city in annual café race

The traditional "Course des cafes", a 4-km race in which competitors carry a tray with water, a coffee cup and a croissant, was held in central Paris on Sunday. 

Waiters and waitresses, dressed with their work outfits, participated in the traditional the cafes' race. Participants navigated a 1.2-mile course, demonstrating skill and balance while celebrating Parisian café culture. The event was revived in 2024 and is a tradition that originally began in 1914, showcasing the heritage of service in French cafes.
