Under the bright sun, a gray boat Monday glided through the waters off La Ciotat, in southern France followed by a surface drone that resembles a red submarine. It was high-tech group Exail technologies, showcasing its mine countermeasure devices to a foreign client. The technological gem of Franco-Belgian company designed the system to keep humans out of harm's way and is a major export success.
