Modi visits Arunachal Pradesh, to inaugurate key projects in Tripura

In Itanagar, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi  on Monday laid the foundation stone of two major hydropower projects worth over 3,700 crore. The projects are aimed at harnessing the vast hydroelectric potential and promoting sustainable energy generation in the region. He also laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art Convention Center in Tawang.

Located at over 9,820 feet in the frontier district, the center will be a landmark facility for hosting national and international conferences, cultural festivals, and exhibitions. With a capacity of over 1,500 delegates, the center is expected to boost tourism and the cultural economy of the region. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said the North East is fast emerging as India’s powerhouse.
