Oktoberfest festival kicks off in Munich

The 190th Oktoberfest, one of the largest folk festivals in Germany, opened on Saturday in Munich, with mayor Dieter Reiter tapping the first barrel of beer as a tradition. The Oktoberfest is free to attend. It's estimated that six to seven million visitors will attend the festival. This year's festival will last until Oct. 5.
