UK, Ireland announce new 'Troubles' legacy deal

UK and Irish government officials announced a new framework on Friday, which will replace controversial legislation intended to draw a line under issues stemming from three decades of violence in Northern Ireland. The new agreement "is night and day" against 2024 legislation, said Irish deputy premier Simon Harris.
