On Thursday, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer welcomed US President Donald Trump to Chequers, his country residence, on the second day of Trump's UK State Visit. A day after the royal pomp and ceremony of Windsor Castle, Trump's historic second State Visit now turns to politics, with the two leaders set for talks on difficult issues, including trade.

Starmer trumpeted the announcement of £150 billion of investment into the UK from US giants including Microsoft and Blackstone. Starmer stated "Jobs, growth and opportunity is what he promised for working people, and it's exactly what this state visit is delivering,".
