Indian Lok Sabha Speaker attends National Conference

Indian Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday attended the valedictory function of the two-day National Conference on Parliamentary and Legislative Committee on the Empowerment of Women, held in Tirupati.

The two-day conference, focused on women-led development, gender-responsive budgeting, and addressing emerging technological challenges, brought together lawmakers and women leaders to discuss strategies for empowering women in India’s national development. In his address, Om Birla emphasized that women are leading in every field, calling this the true strength of Indian democracy.

He highlighted the critical role of women in shaping India’s progress and the importance of including them in all spheres of society.
