Nepali Army extended curfew in Kathmandu until Friday morning

Due security reasons, the Nepali Army informed that the prohibitory order and curfew have been extended in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts until Friday morning, September 12.

However, essential service vehicles and institutions can operate. President Ramchandra Paudel has informed the public that he is currently engaged in consultations and making every possible effort to address the country’s ongoing challenges from within the Constitutional boundary. According to hospital, death toll from demonstrations reached 34 on Thursday, and more than 11,000 injured have received treatment in various hospitals.
