India’s forces unite for global sea mission

In a landmark moment for India’s maritime legacy, the Indian Armed Forces have launched their first-ever joint circumnavigation mission. For the first time, officers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force are sailing together on a global expedition. The officers will sail more than 26,000 nautical miles, crossing the Equator twice and rounding the Three Great Capes.

Their voyage will cover all major oceans and some of the most dangerous waters on the planet including the Southern Ocean and the Drake Passage, testing human resilience against nature’s toughest challenges.
