Israeli army says controls 40% of Gaza City

Israeli army spokesman Effie Defrin said on Wednesday, the army now holds 40% of Gaza City, and plans to expand its operation using tens of thousands of reserve soldiers mobilized this week. The military called on residents of Gaza City and elsewhere to evacuate to Al-Mawasi in the south. It wrote on social media in Arabic that they would be able to receive healthcare, water and food there, among other aid.
