Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un hold first summit since 2019

Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un held talks at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Thursday. It was their first summit since June 2019, when Xi visited North Korea.

President Xi expressed willingness to develop traditional friendly relations between the two neighboring countries. Kim said mutual friendly sentiment between the two countries will remain the same no matter how the international situation changes. He expressed hope for cooperation in the economic and trade domains, saying it is his unwavering will to incessantly deepen and develop bilateral ties.
