Relief efforts underway in India’s Himachal Pradesh

After heavy rainfall caused widespread disruption across Himachal Pradesh, relief and restoration works are in full swing in the affected areas.

As the rainfall subsides in the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh, endeavours to restore normalcy and bring daily life back on track are intensifying.  Ministers and officials are visiting affected areas, meeting with those impacted, and attempting to provide solace. Assessment of the overall damage is being conducted, and the work to repair roads that have been damaged or destroyed is underway.
