Landslide search continues in northern Thailand

Rescue teams in northern Thailand are continuing to search for three people still missing after a landslide in the village of Ban Pang Ung, Mae Chaem District, on Wednesday. The search, now in its third day, follows the recovery of six bodies. Hundreds of villagers, including children and the elderly, have been displaced.

Meanwhile, in Mae Hong Son Province, authorities are also searching for two people who went missing in a flash flood. The Mae Hong Son provincial government has declared two districts emergency disaster zones and is mobilizing resources to restore affected areas by September 1st.
