Indian PM Modi receives a warm welcome from Indian diaspora in Tokyo

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day official visit to Japan, to attend 15th India-Japan Annual Summit. At the hotel, he was greeted with a warm reception, including a vibrant cultural performance from members of the Indian community.

He acknowledged the performers with appreciation and exchange of smiles. Sharing his experience with Indian diaspora, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on social media platform X, “Deeply touched by the warmth and affection of the Indian community in Tokyo.

Their commitment to preserving cultural roots while contributing meaningfully to Japanese society is truly commendable. In a few hours from now, will be interacting with a group of business leaders with a focus on adding vigour to India-Japan trade and investment ties.”
